Graham Construction Exhibition Stand

Today at the NEC we completed a 6×6 meter exhibition stand for Graham Construction. The stand showcases some of the best features available with a modular display system:

  • Backlit Fabric Lightboxes – Triple layer print helps these graphics punch out with LED backlight
  • Twist-Lock Frame – Rapid tool free assembly in a modular system
  • Raised Floor – Custom printed covering and integrated cable management
  • Gantry – Integrated AV display, fridge and LED panel lighting
  • Curved Reception Counter – with shelving and power
  • LED halo – strip lighting on the floor edge makes the stand jump
  • Fabric Ring – Graphics dropped from above showcase presence right from the entry point

Turned round in less than a week from artwork sign off to deployment in Birmingham, our client knows that when they want Branded Brilliance we can deliver, they just need to turn up.

When it’s all over on Thursday night, our clients have guests to entertain, so we go back in and dismantle, return to our warehouse and keep ready for the next show in a couple of weeks, but it’s not 6×6 – no problem, the stand is modular so we just reconfigure and customise to suit.

Our hardware allows for a custom built display stand in a modular system.

Oakfield Park – Job of the Month

This month’s featured job was quite a challenge, and we loved every minute of it!

Oakfield Park is a five phase property development on Jordanstown Road, just outside Belfast. We were tasked with creating and developing a brand identity for the development, devising online and offline marketing strategies, designing 3D CGI renders of the properties, and designing and printing the marketing material.

Our design team took this job and ran with it, creating a stunning brand identity and brand toolkit for the client. They also designed some beautiful marketing material for print and display, including the following:

  • Development overview brochure
  • Phase One homes specificaton brochure
  • Bespoke brochure folders
  • Promotional flyers
  • Postcards
  • Roll up banners
  • Site signage
  • Outdoor advertising campaign (billboard and Adshel)

Our cross media team also pulled out all the stops and created the following:

  • Design and build of a ‘sneak peek’ website for the development
  • Design and build of a full website for the Phase One release
  • Purchaser management online system
  • Email marketing system
  • Digital and social media marketing
  • Aeriel photos and videos using our DJI Phantom 3 drone

With so many elements to work with, it was key that we had a clear marketing strategy to help tie everything together, so our marketing experts devised a marketing timeline using a staggered approach to encourage maximum visibility both online and offline.

This job encompassed almost every aspect of what we produce here at Minprint, and we are very proud of the results we have achieved so far. The project is still ongoing and we hope that we can continue to provide outstanding results for our client.

If you would like to find out more information about Oakfield Park, check out the website here, and follow the Facebook page here to keep up to date with the development.

Augmented Reality at W5 – Job of the Month

In June, we had one of our most exciting jobs yet –  helping W5 create an immersive Augmented Reality experience!

If you’ve been following the craze of Pokémon Go in the last few weeks then you’ll know all about AR technology, but if not don’t worry, it’s very simple; Augmented Reality (AR) is a new technology that superimposes computer generated images onto the real world, bringing CGI to life in front of your eyes! W5’s AR experience brings dinosaurs to life all around you, putting you right in the centre of the action.

For this project, Minprint created a wall backdrop with a one way viewing window, so that visitors could try out the AR spectacle uninterrupted on one side, and other visitors could see what was going on from behind the wall. Our CAD designer, Joseph, took the original concept and developed visualisations of the wall (pictured below), and created the technical specifications for the build. It was built and assembled by our production team and finished with highly durable vinyl prints. The finished product looks incredible and really adds to the spectacle!

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, we also gave other areas of W5 a massive makeover – we installed full printed floor and wall graphics in several areas, as well as large hanging photo structures. Check it out for yourself to get the full experience – just make sure you don’t get eaten by a T-Rex!

You can find more info about the AR experience on W5’s website: http://www.w5online.co.uk/whats-on/events/item/130/augmented-reality/

August Job of the Month – Todds Leap Banners and Flags

This month, we produced some large format print for the Todds Leap, Ireland’s biggest and best Activity Centre, who recently celebrated their 25th year in business.

Banner flags (4m flag shown), are the perfect way to showcase your business on the big scale and were perfect for the main entrance to all visitors of Todds Leap.

However, their large mesh banner graphic, was the pinnacle of the job. Customers arriving by car will see this as the welcoming sign to the activity centre. This large format print gave an all round perspective of the sports and activities that can be done in the centre with all of the silhouettes.

After completing the job, our salesman Gary (pictured), was even given the opportunity to go round the centre and try out the zipline!

July Job of the Month – LED light-boxes

During July Minprint got together with The Mortgage Shop to produce a wide array of items.

From traditional print collateral in the form of Letterheads and Business Cards to Shopfront Signage updates in the form of frosted window decals, light boxes and raised lettering.

The new window poster displays are state of the art LED light-boxes, we installed them in the Bangor branch along with Frosted window vinyls and raised lettering on brushed aluminium inside the shop. They have been such a success the franchise owners are considering options to roll them out to further branches. Already looking great in the summer and they will look even better through the dark winter nights.

Delivery of the letterheads and business cards was carried out direct to many branches using our reliable carrier service throughout the country on an overnight service.

May Job of the Month

Our in house production never stops!

In a new twist in print production, we have expanded our capabilities into the world of small run packaging. One of our first jobs was the Go Get Print box production in which, some very lucky people received a promotional box highlighting our new Go Get Print service.

With the success of our campaign and positive feedback received on these boxes, our eyes turned to the next job and produced the Friends of the Cancer Centre Family Favourites recipe book – our selected May’s Job of the Month!

From start to finish, our Design, Print and Display persona, quite literally was put into practice for this great work. The design of the recipe book from our designers proved a hit and continued throughout the finished product. Our new packaging and display solution is the ultimate way to show off the recipe book.

Below is a small demonstration of our Go Get Print Welcome box. We now have the facility to virtualise your packaging requirements with a pre production 3D PDF, complete with the artwork of your product.

March Job of the Month

March proved to be a very busy month indeed in Minprint!

Our top pick of the jobs is one we designed and printed, the new Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Visitor Guide 2015 prints, complete with the new branding of the super councils, Visitors Map A2 to A5 & an A5 116 paged book!

This friendly, colourful and easy to read guide, gives the perfect opportunity to display all the events and local things to do around the Lisburn and Castlereagh area – perfect for attracting all the tourism to the area! With a nice finish to the print, the Council were delighted with the end product.

February Job of the Month

We are proud to announce the February Job of the Month!

The Marine Institute came to us to develop their Cullen Fellowship Programme information guide – a new programme for opportunities in Post Graduate Reseach.

The Cullen Fellowship Programme provides research training opportunities for scientists in marine and related disciplines, leading to Masters and PhD degrees.

The Programme has been established by the Marine Institute in memory of Anne Cullen (1958 – 2013), who made a significant contribution to the work of the Marine Institute during her 35 years of service.

Our in house design team were able to comply with the Marine Institute’s needs for a clean, effective and simple design that would help promote the Cullen Fellowship Programme. The final design was printed on a nice gloss finish to give a nice lasting and professional feel for the booklet.

Minprint help Linn Primary School take home the Checkered Flag – F1 in Schools

Over the course of the year, the Linn Primary School in Larne, have been working hard on their project for Formula 1 in Schools challenge. And on Thursday 4th February, they took 1st place!

Formula 1 In Schools

What is Formula 1 in Schools? (as stated on F1 in Schools Website)

  • F1 in Schools Ltd is a not-for-profit company established with committed partners to provide an exciting yet challenging educational experience through the magnetic appeal of Formula One.

  • F1 in Schools the only global multi-disciplinary challenge in which teams of students aged 9 to 19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature compressed air powered balsa wood F1 cars.

  • It is a unique global platform for the promotion of Formula One and partners to a youth market.

  • Teams must raise sponsorship and manage budgets to fund research, travel and accommodation.

  • The challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacture, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing, leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy, and apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way.

  • The Linn Primary school contacted Minprint originally for some promotional items to go along with their F1 display. We at Minprint, then offered a sponsorship, alongside various other sponsors  with the Linn PS team to help boost their chances of taking home the checkered flag in style! Below are some images of their F1 display, the hand built F1 car and the winning team!
